Yann Bouan is an expert in the identity and secure document industry, with over two decades of experience supporting governments and industry leaders worldwide. His work spans the full identity ecosystem, from smart cards and EMV payment terminals to national ID programs, ICAO ePassports and eIDs.

He has played a pivotal role in initiatives such as the PIV card for US government employees, the global rollout of ePassports and secure digital ID deployments, helping countries navigate complex technical and regulatory challenges. Today, as Chief Strategy Officer of iDAKTO, he continues to drive the adoption of open standards and pragmatic solutions, promoting sovereign, inclusive and secure digital identity.
